There was a time when the Spirit would constantly lead me to John 3:16. For a while I was annoyed. I had memorized that scripture as a child and thought that I knew it well.
“I know this already!” is what I would internally exclaim after being nudged to return to that verse.
What God was showing me was that I superficially knew the Bible verse by memory only. I had not allowed the deeper meaning of those words to sink into my heart.
And so now I seek out scriptures about God’s love. God is love, after all, and he wants us to know how much he loves us.
So, I have compiled a list of 12 Bible verses that I frequent the most about the love of God.
